"What connects the dots?" This is a tricky question casually asked by Simon Ross - British Reporter character in the movie Bourne Ultimatum. This is then followed by a sequence of events in Waterloo station, which can be termed as one of the best sequence ever conceived in a movie.
But, is "connecting the dots" that difficult? Indeed! I would say so, atleast based on the below dots!
DOT 1: A typical Film heroine's interview.
Q: How did you get associated with the project?
A: I suddenly got a call... The director was confident I could do justice to the role..etc
Q: What is your role?
A: The role is that of a typical city girl. It is a bubbly role with lot of scope to act. I cant divulge more of the role, you will see it more in the movie. (An unnecessary thousand watts smile)
DOT 2: A typical movie buff watches a movie.
Hero's situation is certainly not better than a beggar. But the heroine loves him just after one scene.
There comes a breakup inbetween - but not before few duets in exotic locations. The reason for breakup is shown in a scene not more than 30 seconds. This is followed closely by a philosophical song! Investing in 30 seconds gives you chance to insert a song for 5 minutes.
In the end, all ends well. Villain is defeated hands down. Even breakup breaks down!
Coming out of the movie hall, I am yet to connect the dots.
PS: If you wonder which movie I refer to, You do not need to worry. It happens day in and day out. You can watch the next movie to experience it yourself.
